Sacred Arts at Tabernacle Church
God speaks through Music and
Art at Tabernacle Church!
Music
Hearing, creating and appreciating music brings us to a spiritual depth like nothing else. Angelic voices and love songs, grip our hearts regularly. You can hear flutes and violins, accompanied by our refurbished Steinway piano often. Trumpets, trombones, saxophones, clarinets, African drums, guitars, and percussion - all rekindle our spiritual passions. A choir of joyous singers, combined with the generous talents of parishioners, make music at Tabernacle delightful.
Valerie Peterson , our Music Director, and Raeleen George, our Organist and Pianist, orchestrate our talents and skillfully lead us in music during Sunday morning worship services.
The Family Folk Band occasionally joins us on Sunday mornings.
The Tabernacle Troubadours is a small band led by Carlton and Nancy Lutts.
We sing Gospel Music, African American Spirituals, Traditional Hymns, Contemporary Hymns, Irish Folk Songs, familiar sacred music and much more.
Everyone is welcome to participate:
*Senior Choir Rehearsals: Thursday Evenings at 7:30pm and Sunday mornings at 9:00am
*Weekly Guest musicians and singers sign up to share during the offertory
